Step 1 — Install ProxySmart on your server

ProxySmart software turns a Linux server with USB/PCIe modems into a managed 4G/5G proxy farm. Visit proxysmart.org for official documentation, purchase, and installation guides.

Get a server
A Linux server (Ubuntu/Debian recommended) with USB hubs or PCIe modem slots. VPS or dedicated.

Purchase ProxySmart
Buy a license from proxysmart.org. Install using their official installer script.

Connect modems
Plug in your 4G/5G USB modems. ProxySmart auto-detects them and creates the routing.

Verify it works
Access the ProxySmart dashboard on port 7929. Verify modems show as online.
Recommended spec: Ubuntu 22.04, 4–8 GB RAM, fast SSD, USB 3.0 hubs with powered ports. Each modem = 1 USB slot. Popular modem: Huawei E3372, ZTE MF823, Quectel EC25.

Step 2 — Connect to the marketplace

Once your ProxySmart server is running, connecting it to the marketplace takes under 2 minutes.

Create a farmer account
Register at proxysmart.market/auth and select Farmer as your role.

Add your server
Go to Dashboard → Servers → Add Server. Enter your ProxySmart API URL with credentials: http://admin:yourpassword@your-server-ip:7929/

Sync modems
Click Sync. The marketplace reads all your online modems and imports them automatically. Default prices are applied.

List modems for sale
New modems start as UNLISTED by default (so you control what goes live). Go to Servers → your server → bulk-list or list individually. Set prices per modem or use bulk pricing.

Start earning
Buyers purchase proxies through the marketplace. We provision the port on your ProxySmart server automatically. Earnings appear in your balance instantly.

⚙️ Technical integration details

Integration mode: EXCLUSIVE_ADMIN — marketplace uses your full admin credentials. Best for dedicated servers. (MULTISHOP mode with shop-scoped credentials is coming for shared servers.)

Port lifecycle: When a buyer orders, we call POST /crud/store_port + GET /apix/apply_port. On expiry, GET /apix/purge_port.

IP rotation: Triggered via GET /apix/reset_modem_by_imei. Buyers can rotate from their dashboard.

Port naming: Each marketplace port gets a unique ID starting with port + 8 hex chars. Admin default ports are never touched.

1 active order per modem: Our platform enforces one active marketplace port per modem at any time. While ProxySmart supports multiple ports per modem, we reserve one dedicated slot per buyer for quality.

Required version: ProxySmart v2.3+ for the get_free_tcp_ports endpoint. v2.4+ + Extended License unlocks MULTISHOP mode.
